Academy of Art University Success

The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California has been a long standing institute that has paved the way for many successful artists. At its start in 1929, the academy focused on advertisement art. A couple decades later it expanded its education to cover fashion, cartoons, and lettering. In more recent decades, the university has evolved to offer undergraduate studies and graduate studies in everything from acting to architecture. They have also developed one of the best digital arts programs to be produce graduates who have contributed to many motion pictures throughout the years.

One of those students is Jan Philip Cramer. He completed his education at the Academy in 2004 with a degree in Animation and Visual Effects and quickly found his place among Blockbuster giants. His artistic abilities can be seen in pictures like Avatar, Deadpool, and Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Cramer’s interest in making stories come to life started in his childhood. He has made his childhood dreams come true, receiving recognition for his artistry and becoming a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2017. While Cramer has been in the business for several years now, he is just getting started. His future projects include more Marvel pictures, an ever growing franchise that he has worked hard to be a part of.

A lot of his success came from his humble beginnings at the Academy, he admits. The Academy of Art University provided a stable community of experienced professors who coached him on exactly what to expect in the industry. With over 30 areas of study to choose from, it helps to have a hand-on way of learning with educators who have already worked in those industries.

Cramer isn’t the only successful graduate of the Academy either. There were over 50 alumni in 2017 who were recognized for the roles they played in Golden Globe nominated films. Most of these students were a part of the School of Animation and Visual Effects and the School of Motion Picture and Television. The Academy provided them the foundation to become successful in such a high stakes industry.
