For entrepreneur Guilherme Paulus creating employment opportunities is one of the key reasons he is always looking to expand his companies. This stems from the realization that for every new hotel or resort the GJP network builds a few more Brazilians get something worthwhile to do while at the same time improving the services within the sector as a whole.
This strategy has worked very well for him and today the network is valued at approximately 600 million dollars with more than 19 hotels and resorts cutting across Brazil. This kind of investments saw Guilherme Paulus named 2017’s Entrepreneur of the year by Brazil’s Isto É Dinheiro’s magazine where a photo of him appeared on the cover.
This has not come easy for this former IBM intern. He has had to struggle to grow his empire starting with the CVC publicly traded company now that is considered the largest tour operator in Latin America. Its growth has been phenomenal and thanks to Guilherme Paulus for not giving up on his idea even at a time when it seemed like it would fail. The company has been able to overcome a myriad of challenges and make him a billionaire as listed in Forbes Magazine.
Guilherme Paulus knew that the tourism sector in Brazil would grow exponentially. This would trigger his instinct to focus on the GJP network and grow its presence around the country. He would use his more than four decades experience in the sector to identify locations that were a tourist magnet yet were underserved in terms of accommodation. This sent him to various locations that include Confins, MG located in the state of Minas Gerais it was originally a gold town as the precious metal was discovered here in 1969. This town has, however outlived that tag and is today a tourist hub given its numerous Confins caves. This are archaeology and paleontology sites that are known for housing some of the earliest know fossils of man. With this in mind Guilherme Paulus Linx Confins that is strategically located and near the international airport. In Rio de Janeiro, RJ the company owns the Linx Galeão and Prodigy Santos Dumont which are considered among the best in the state.
